- You grant moderators of this forum the right to delete, move or edit any topic at any time.Forum Rules Each user agrees with his/her registration to the following forum rules. The moderation team holds up the right to warn, mute, censor, ban, suspend users, and delete topics and posts if the users do not follow the rules.1. Account Related
- Every
user may register and use one account. Multiple registrations and usage of several accounts will lead to permanent suspension of all new accounts and a long but temporary suspension of the old account. An exception would be if you cannot recover your old account. Note: If you want a forum name change request, we have created a thread on Spam Section. 1 user - 2 forum name change requests only.
- Making a new account for the sake of changing your display name is not allowed. Apply rule #1.
- Any
attempt to circumvent any moderator action such as a mute or a ban will lead to a permanent ban of the new account and additional ban duration for the old one. Circumvention includes re-registering or using an already registered account under a non-banned account.
- Each
member must only use one account and each account must only be used by one member. If ever two users or more share a single account, the account may be temporarily banned. In cases where both users switch and one lends his account to the other, both accounts may be temporarily banned. Apply Rule #1
- Impersonation of staff members or any other
users is strictly not allowed. If the user unintentionally uses a similar display name to a staff member or a user, the user may be given a chance to change his display name.
2. General Rules
- The forum language is English/Filipino. Other languages may be used freely only in the International Sections.
- New
threads are to be made in the relevant forum. Users are required to read the forum descriptions before creating a new thread. Users consistently posting on the wrong forum may be given a warning. Posting in wrong sections will not get you the right kind of attention you need such as delays on your ban support request if you posted in general talk.
- Posting contents and links of pornographic,
politically extremist, immoral and offensive material which may breach applicable laws are forbidden. It is also not allowed to post keys, hacks, cracks or other things of illegal nature, including illegal download pages and "warez". Discussion of such items will lead to an immediate warning.
- SPAM - Stupid Pointless Annoying
Messages. Posting of contents which do not belong to the topic/relevant forum (Spam/Off Topic) are undesired and may lead to a warning and/or mute. An exception of this is the SPAM Section. Please keep all your posts as constructive as possible.
- Bumping threads and
posts that do not have any content at all is also not allowed. This includes double, triple quadruple posting and so on. Bumping is also considered as double posting and may be warned by the moderation staff.
- Backseat
moderation or acting like a moderator is not allowed. It is when you post only to point out a breach of the rules or requesting action from the moderation team such as "Requesting to close the thread". It is another form of spam. Only the author of the thread can request for thread closure if his/her request has been answered. Use the report button if you want to bring the post to the moderation team's attention. Constant backseat moderation may be warned.
- Spamming of
emoticons and images is not allowed due to the fact that it may freeze peoples' browsers. Images or posts which are side exceeding (means one has to scroll vertically or/and horizontally to read the whole post) are not allowed.
- Contents, links, usernames etc. with the
only aim to flame and insult other users of the community are forbidden. Same goes for trolling: posts solely intended to annoy other people or incite flames.
- Contents of inappropriate language and excessive cursing are not allowed.
- Plagiarism
is not tolerated in this forum. Make sure you include proper credits to anything you copy from the internet. If you cannot identify the original authors, include a note saying where it is from or that the work is not yours.
- Advertisement and linking to other RAN servers is not allowed on the whole forum.
- Links to games with the aim to count every visitor are not allowed. (Bite Links) e.g Dragoncave and Soul Stealing
Misuse of the report button is forbidden. Game reports must be posted in Report Abuses. The report button shall not be a means to contact or seek attention from any staff members for personal matters. Use it only for posts that you think is breaking a rule. Such misuse may be warned and/or muted.
- Any attempt to circumvent the forum bad
word filter will not be tolerated including posting avatars, forum names or signatures that contain a word that is censored by the bad word filter. Modification of words or the use of abbreviations is considered a warn worthy offense.
- Threads of petitioning for game
features, additions, updates, or website and forum changes are not tolerated. Such posts will be removed or closed without warning. The forums contains an Suggestion Section that may be used to post your ideas, but creating petitions for others to sign is considered another form of "bumping".
- Discussions regarding religion
containing ill content are strictly prohibited. This usually leads to buildings getting blown up and airplanes crashed. Such posts will be removed without warning and your account will be permanently banned.
- Creating
multiple threads regarding the same topic is considered spam. Post in the existing thread. This applies to those who do not know where to post their threads. Do not create your thread and post it in multiple sections hoping for more attention, this may only get you a warning.
- ABABAB
talking is not allowed. If 2 persons have a decent discussion however, where each post contains good content, this may be tolerated. But if users start to post and make the thread look like their personal chatroom, a warning may be issued against them. An exception is the SPAM section.
- Harassment is the act of attacking other
people physically, mentally, sexually, and socially. In this case, you can be doing any one of those with the words you write or the images you post. Although we cannot see it, but other members have feelings too and harassment may affect their real lives. Users who harass other users will be given a harsher punishment compared to other offenses.
- Reviving
old topics that have not been replied to in a month is not allowed. It would be better if you quote posts or get the general idea of the earlier thread and create a new one. The Ideas & Feedbacks section however is an exception since these are important and may still be useful no matter how old they are. Pinned topics are also an exception.
- Racial,
ethnic, gender based insults or any other personal discrimination is strictly not allowed. This includes posting the word "Nazi" or images of "Swastikas" or anything similar.
- Status updates are not
to be used for spam. Spam updates may be removed without warning. It is also neither a support channel nor a marketplace. Please use the appropriate forum if you need support or if you want to buy or sell something.
3. Signature Guidelines Signatures are images and text that are automatically placed on the bottom of each and every one of your posts. But keep in mind that a signature should also be small, neat and appropriate. To make that true, we ask that you follow these guidelines, if you do not, you may find yourself with an ugly signature (seen below), or a signature removal with a message from the Moderator that removed it.
- Your
signature cannot exceed the size of 500 x 300 pixels and a file size of 500kb. That includes all images and text you place in your signature. A single line of normal font text counts as 16px added to the total height of your signature. Depending on font size, the size of your signature will increase. Highlight the text, hit printscreen and measure the highlighted area in paint or photoshop for the exact space it occupies.
- No
offensive pictures and/or text allowed. Such examples are pictures and/or text that have curse words, someone flipping off, other offensive words, symbols etc. This applies to avatars as well.
- No
sexual explicit or too suggestive pictures and/or text allowed. Such examples include picture and/or text displaying undergarment (panties, lingerie etc.), human/animal/alien/etc genitalia, butts and breasts, pornographic-like materials etc. This applies to avatars as well.
- No
advertisements, scary images and/or other material that may breech other forum rules. You may not advertise other servers; this includes placing images and/or text that has the name of the server and/or a link to the server. Do not place scary images such as gore, blood, et cetera, we have some sensitive and young people here and we do not need to see something like that. This applies to avatars as well.
- The
word "Signature" is pretty much self explanatory. No user may copy another user's signature for the purpose of impersonation.
- An
example of a perfect size image signature. Right click the image and click properties to know it's size. Total size should be 500 x 300 pixels. If you for any reason use more than one image in your signature, please remember that all of it must fit in the example below. Lines of text will also be added depending on font size.
In some cases, signatures may be removed without a warning. Repeat offenders will be thrown in a small room measuring 500x300 pixels. It's very, very painful. 4. Game Related
- The
forum will not be used for RMT(Real Money Trades) or commonly known as PHP Dealing. Posts that contain RMTs will be permanently banned from the forum.
- Any posts that singles out a player to issue a
slanderous comment regarding an issue that started in-game will be removed from the general view without any warning. Continued posting such slander will be considered as ongoing harassment and will not be tolerated by the forum moderators. Posts such as these may be warned and or mute by a moderator and if necessary the account suspension of the poster.
5. Moderation Team, User Responsibility, Moderation and Final Notes
- Each
user agrees to the rules after registration therefore they have to obey the rules. If you feel you have been warned unfairly, first contact the Moderator who gave the warning. If you are not contented on the moderator's response or if you have not received a reply within 3 days you may contact a Global Moderator. In extreme cases, you have the right to directly contact the Administrator. The Admin's word is final.
- You
are to respect all staff members. If a moderator is found abusing his/her powers, you need to report it to an administrator or a moderator of a higher status. If a moderator gives you a warning for something that you think is invalid, the right to prove them wrong is yours.
- Please
report a staff member via private message. Do not publicly discuss these cases or humiliate the accused staff members. If proven guilty, action will be taken discretely.
- Punishments increase
when the same offense is repeated. If the same offense is repeated too many times, an account suspension will be issued instead of just a mute.
- Suspensions
and bans for an offense cannot be given if the user has not received a warning for it first. A warning is a warn level increase without a punishment such as a mute. A Mute, is a punishment included in a warning if you have been warned before for the same offense. If a user is understandably new or unfamiliar with the forums, a warning may be issued without a warn level increase.
- Depending on the severity of the case, a punishment may be issued despite the stated above.
- All forum moderators reserve the right to punish users on offenses not found in this post.
- All forum moderators reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread for any reason.
- All rules posted in this forum are subject to change without prior notice.
- Moderators
are allowed to change offensive forum names without prior notice to the user. If the user wishes to have a different forum name, they will be required to complete community service. ( Use the name Member, Member1, etc )
